In Koh Kong Province, there are not many restaurants, especially along the way from Phnom Penh to Koh Kong. There are only a few restaurants and cafés. However, in Koh Kong town, there are many food options.

Is food and travel in Koh Kong expensive?

Koh Kong Province is known as the “city of islands” in Cambodia. Seafood is the best option to enjoy when you are in Koh Kong. The seafood is delicious and reasonably priced — cheaper than in Phnom Penh and other provinces.

Other types of food are not very expensive, but the prices are slightly higher compared to other provinces. If travelers love seafood, I can say that Koh Kong is the king of seafood in Cambodia.

However, if travelers visit Koh Kong, they will mostly spend money on boat trips because many destinations require taking a boat as transportation. Even so, the prices are still reasonable.
